Counseling

I provide compassionate, evidence-based counseling designed to help children and teens navigate the challenges of growing up in today’s world. My approach blends emotional support with practical skill-building, so that each child gains the tools they need to understand themselves, manage their feelings, and thrive at home and school.

Counseling sessions are tailored to the child’s developmental stage, unique strengths, and current needs. Common areas of focus include:

  • Anxiety & Worry: Building coping tools, relaxation strategies, and confidence for everyday stressors and school performance.

  • Attention & Executive Functioning: Strengthening focus, organization, and planning skills to improve independence and school success.

  • Emotion Regulation & Coping Skills: Learning to identify emotions, manage frustration, and respond to challenges with resilience.

  • Social Skills & Peer Relationships: Practicing communication, empathy, and problem-solving for healthy friendships.

  • Self-Esteem: Encouraging positive self-talk, goal-setting, and growth mindset in pre-teens and teens.

  • Adjustment & Life Transitions: Supporting children through changes such as new schools, family moves, or parental separation.
